In case you couldn't tell, we love weddings! Here is a quick list of our personal favourite famous weddings:
A classic. If you were alive in 1981, chances are you were one of the 750 million people tuned in to watch this royal couple tie the knot. The wedding was completely unforgettable. Everything from the dress, to the ring (that would sit on Kate Middleton's finger decades later), perfected the fairytale event.
This wedding screams #ThrowBack!!! Everything from the frosted tips, to the matching purple outfits, completed this ultimate late 90's wedding. However, 17 years later, and we are still in love with this couple.
Everything - from the white school bus, to golden string lights - was magical about this bohemian California wedding. However, it was the couples wedding hashtag, #fortday2016 that got us gushing.
Adams took to Instagram to explain the hashtag: "8 years ago we built a pillow fort in my old apartment and started a conversation that has grown into a whole life. It was just a quiet shared idea that became a yearly tradition. This year we invited some more people. A lot more. And we made a wedding out of it. Three perfect days with friends and family. Kids screaming and laughing in the pool shouting "Fort Day" at the top of their lungs. Our incredible tribe lifting us up the same way they have for so many years. It's impossible to put into words how it all felt. Filled with so much gratitude that I'm lucky enough to have married my best friend...".
In lieu of gifts the couple also asked guests to donate to the David Suzuki Foundation and SickKids - ugh we love them!!
Last - but certainly not least - the former first couple. The couple said "I do" in 1992 at a local church in Chicago. Their traditional wedding was picture-perfect, where both bride and groom looked seamless. We also can't pass up mentioning how beautiful Michelle's dress was - a fashion icon since day one.
