Basically your Pinterest, but on paper. It gives you something to look at in person, something to touch, and something to bring around with you when you're visiting venues, florists and wedding planners.
Having your date chosen and venue booked allows you to start planning everything else: food, guest list, decor, invitations, etc. These two tasks are the most important items to get the ball rolling.
